Taqueria La Loma in Akron

We just had carry out Beef, rice and bean burritos..they were excellent..and big enough for 2 meals! Great fresh food at a very affordable price..we will definitely eat there again!!

Excellent, one of the best Mexican restaurants in Akron area. I love their flautas and fajitas. Oh and the red and green hot sauces are the best!

Finally REAL MEXICAN FOOD !!! I been coming to Ohio and this is the SECOND PLACE I FOUND THAT HAS REAL MEXICAN FOOD ! I'm very happy ! I will be returning again the food was great.

Best mexican food in the area. Everything is good, Amazing Pastor, barbacoa and cheek meat though. Being open at 10am is a plus.

Good tacos. I was not a fan of the chimichanga as it had cubes if chicken that were both white and dark meat. I would prefer it to be white meat shredded.

I been on a quest to find the best and most Authentic Mexican Food Restaurant In Canton and Akron and I finally found it. Your typical Mexican and Tex-Mex Restaurants offer the same old boring menu and same items with the same desserts. This places offers more than your typical Mexican Restaurant's. They offer real street style tacos mostly found in real tacos trucks. This restaurant has the authentic taste of Mexican food.

Great food. no employees wearing masks. after calling twice to make-sure my order was accurate upon arrival — it was still wrong. They remade the order but upon getting home I realized they didn’t add chorizo to my queso - which I paid for - as well as no salsas for tacos. .

Taqueria La Loma has the most authentic tacos in Northeast Ohio! The service is very quick. Can’t go wrong with any of their taco options. The green jalapeño sauce is amazing. Tamales are great as well. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Genuine Mexican taquería and grocery store.

The reviews are right, this place really is amazing. However, I did have to knock off a star because you wouldn’t know a pandemic was going on inside this restaurant. Many, many customers not wearing masks and getting away with it, as well as tables not being 6 feet apart. I’d love to see this place step up their compliance with state laws.

This place is awesome. If it didn't already have 800 reviews I wouldn't have posted anything and kept this place to myself. It really is that good and I've been searching for this kind of greatness since being in San Antonio. You will have a difficult time finding any place like this in the area. Lengua and Cabeza tacos were spot on, Torta so perfect that I shed tears while eating it, and horchata that could bring world peace. My wife also went basic quesadilla on me, but was rewarded with the Mt. Hood of all quesadillas. Simply put.....you have to eat here

The service isn't like normal sit down restaurants, you order at the counter, find a seat, and they bring it out to you - fast casual style. The connected grocery also has amazing pastries. There's a meat counter there as well, although I can't review anything from it yet.

Ever since coming home from visiting the Southwest, I've been searching for a good burrito. I finally found one here. Their al pastor is their specialty, and far and away my favorite meat option on the menu. But you can't go wrong with any of them. I like the burritos, tacos and tortas! Also the sopes are worth trying if you've never had one

Absolutely amazing real authentic Mexican food!!! It’s lil Mexico in Akron! I’ve been coming here since they started as a taco truck about 10 years now. Lovely owners who care about the food they cook! Nothing but deliciousness! I highly recommend if ur in the area... I drive 29 miles from home just to get there food and have been satisfied every time I went! I’ve never had one bad service!! I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant!!! I hope they never close! The owner is so sweet! We love her!! *** update: they will be opening the bar soon with margaritas too!!!

A lovely hole in the wall restaurant with an attached mini grocery store. Food is fantastic and their homemade desserts are top notch. I highly recommend.

All I can say is everything I tasted here is delicious and authentic. The customer service is good and fast. If you want good Mexican food this is a good place to try.

This meal was awesome as always. I typically just get the street tacos but decided to try the steak quesadilla as well. The way they cooked the cheese on the tortillas was different. I'm going to try and do this at home.

Ordered take out for the first time. Took about 15 minutes so I wandered inside of their attached store and looked around a bit. It had some good things. Our food was good! I ordered chicken fajitas with yellow rice and beans, my husband ordered some kind of taco and queso dip amd chips and we got my son two beef tacos.My fajitas came with a ton of meat. I opted out of eating it with shells. I had enough left over for lunch the next day. My som also ate a bunch of mines. The rice was good, the beans were not great. My son and husband enjoyed their tacos as well. The queso was ok, we've had better. The place was clean and is located super close to our house so we will eat here again, definitely!!!

My husband and I stopped here for supper after an appointment at a nearby hospital. The staff were kind and attentive, and the food was delicious. It really hit the spot. Adjoining the restaurant is a small, but well stocked latin grocery. The propriettress was lovely. They had a good selection of products in a small space. The selection of spices and dried chilies was really fantastic, and the dried chilies were fresh and of good quality, not old and crunchy. The grocery also has an excellent selection of fresh baked goods. Not only would I be happy to return to the restaurant to eat, but I would also be very happy to shop at the grocery when I need those special ingredients that my local store just doesn't carry. The peppers, alone, would be worth the trip. But I wouldn't be able to deny myself a meal and a pastry. I highly recommend to everyone.

One of the best Mexican places I've been to in a while. I would recommend their chorizo torta.

The food had excellent flavor and was prepared quickly, but the attitudes of some of the employees could be adjusted a little bit. Being friendly and showing at least a smile goes a long way. Other than that, I would have given five stars for authenticity.
